Leigh-on-sea.com have recently started working closely together with community liason officers from Southend Neighbourhood Watch, in an effort to help publicise and bring to people's attention, the valuable role that Neighbourhood Watch fulfils within the community.

MULTI-AGENCY SURGERIES

Southend Police, together with its partners are attempting to set up these multi-agencies surgeries on a regular basis at sites throughout the town. The idea is that if you have a problem then we will try to sort it out for you by getting in touch with the right authority. Whether your problem comes within the remit of the police, trading standards, environmental health, housing, highways or abandoned vehicles, then we hope to be able to put you in touch with the relevant authority at the time of the surgery.
We are not saying that someone will be in attendance at all the surgeries from every department, as that may prove to be a waste of resources, but you will be able to speak to the relevant department on the telephone.
The surgeries will take place at the three Council Housing Offices as follows:-
Central Area Housing Office, Alexandra Road, Southend from 10am-noon on the 1st & 3rd Mondays of every month.
Western Area Housing Office, Mendip Road, Leigh from 2pm-4pm on the 1st & 3rd Mondays of every month.
Eastern Area Housing Office, Delaware Road, Shoebury from 10am-noon on the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of every month.
Surgeries which occur on a Bank Holiday will not take place. We hope that these surgeries will help to put you in touch with the right people who can sort out your problem. The Community police will be in attendance at every meeting for policing problems.
