My name is Elisebeth Francis, from Fremantle, Western Australia. I would like to get in touch with a friend through your web pages, if possible, please.

My friend is Carol (Suffolk), with whom I travelled in Central America (Guatemala to Costa Rica) in January this year.  The email address that I was given by our tour leader did not function - either incorrect or obsolete.  As I have returned home recently from 5 months abroad, I have contacted most of our small group.  I was very
disappointed when the 'postman' sent my email back 'not deliverable.'

Carol was ready to move from London to Leigh-On-Sea, to a new apartment overlooking the ocean; on her return from C.America.  She was excited about the move and was planning the new decor.

We were a small, close-knit group - and I don't want to lose touch. If you can help, I would greatly appreciate it.  If you can't, perhaps you could supply details of the local newsagency and/or council - so that I can continue my search.

I am looking to move to Leigh-on-Sea from Tamworth in Staffordshire & would be very grateful if anyone can point me in the direction of a reliable private landlord or someone who has a room to let with private bathroom or shower room. I am looking for a one bedroom flat/studio flat & hope to bring my two cats with me. They are very well behaved & clean even though the eldest is 17 years old. I have researched estate agents but their fees on top of advance rent is beyond me. I am willing to pay up to £485 a month, but hoping to find something around £300 for a house share & £375 - £450 for a flat. I am a good tenant, clean, quiet, reliable. I am an artist & will have to find work down there, but have experience of admin, vet nursing, retail, will consider most things as long as I can paint in my time off!

I own a car that was originally purchased in 1964 from CONTINENTAL CARS on the corner of London Rd / Hamlet Rd in Leigh.

I wonder if any period images of the building still exist, it would make a wonderful addition to my history research.

Hi everyone
Would just like to add a little memory of Leigh-on-Sea. I used to spend  all my half terms and summers hols down at Leigh. My nanny and grandfather and aunt lived at TATTERSALL GARDENS  and  I always looked forward to my holidays where I spent a lot of time down on Leigh beach and walking along to Chalkwell and also watching the summer carnival. 
Anyway would  like to let everyone on this forum now i have great memories of theses times

I am tracing my family history and I am keen to hear from any of the Osborne Families that live in Leigh on Sea.
I live in Auckland New Zealand ,I am coming to Leigh on Sea in May this year
I have never seen any pictures of my Grandparents , My Grandfather was George Osborne ,His nickname was Fatboy, I believe he died in the late 1970's , He owned boats and fished the Thames Estuary ,The LO240 The Rainbow was his boat.
I know not a lot about my Grandad and hopefully by looking at this Website I may be able to learn more about Leigh on Sea and my family history
