LEIGH AFTERNOON WOMEN'S INSTITUTE
We welcome new members to our friendly meetings which are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at Wesley Methodist Church Hall, Leigh (opposite the police station) at 1.30 p.m. Please come and join us.
LEIGH CENTRAL AFTERNOON TOWNSWOMEN'S GUILD

Do you enjoy listening to interesting speakers, going on outings, the occasional lunch? LADIES OF LEISURE – NO NOT US!
We’re ladies who get out there and get things done.
We spend our time socialising in a many different ways.
We regularly support the community by organising fund-raising events.
We meet monthly, on the first Tuesday, for a chat and a drink.
We have a membership of fourteen and we all live locally.
Here we see the club members enjoying themselves at the Kursaal.
We took ourselves off for an ‘energetic’ bowling evening followed
by liquid refreshments in the bar.
As we approach the end of our present year we have been reflecting on the large number of different events and activities that we have organised. These include a meal out with our past members, a trip to the Police Headquarters in Chelmsford (to see the incident room in action), a dinner & dance celebration of our 40th Anniversary and a murder mystery evening raising money for the Essex Air Ambulance. As well as these main events we have had regular meetings hosted by club members.
