During the course of a regular meeting with the excellent team I have working with me, it was highlighted that the contents of my Publication are positive and that I am encouraging others to think positive, be positive and act positive, therefore, there will be no negative observations from me on the subject of the Education System and its approach to the overall Entertainment Industry in this instant. I will be positive and use my best efforts to offer a possible solution to a powerfully important aspect in Education that for reasons due to lack of expertise or oversight in the field of Career Advice on the subject of The Entertainment Industry is simply not being addressed and has been creating tremendous anguish and frustration to Students and Pupils for many years.
Music, The Performing Arts and Entertainment as a whole, has been one of the major revenue producing entities (certainly for the United Kingdom) for some four decades and in recognising this fact the UK government offer tremendous financial support to the furtherance of this within the Education System.
Great Britain has produced some of the worlds greatest artistes from all areas of the overall Entertainment Industry and continue to do so in possessing the amazing skills of equally the worlds finest Tutors who painstakingly mould raw talent to later be a showcase to the World of what we have to offer, to the furtherance of careers and the pleasure of millions of people.
So we possess the creative talent along with marvellous tutoring and the funds to allow our enthusiastic Students to develop in all aspects of Entertainment, so how can we improve on this?
The missing link for enhancement is CAREER ADVICE!
Where do these wonderfully talented people turn to for advice once their studies are completed and once they have mastered the art of their particular craft?
I have had conversations with leading and local teaching organisations and I have asked that very question, "What do you advise, or what facilities do you have, in advising your Students or Pupils when they seek Career Advice from you after having mastered the art of their craft through years of painstaking work?" and the reply has always been, "Nothing".
Teaching of any kind is a highly qualified and specialised field and the improvement and input from the Tutor to the Student is based purely upon experience. The same principle applies to the overall Entertainment Industry, in order to teach, instruct, or advise, you must first study and gain as much experience as possible in your chosen profession before you are in a position to assist others.
Throughout many years of being approached and in attempting to assist others in their quest for knowledge, with regard the Music and Entertainment Industry, has highlighted to me the desperate need for information on this specialist subject to be more widely available in terms of Career Advice.
From my research, there is very little, if anything, available in Schools, Colleges or University Libraries, the same applies to Public Libraries, as well as Music Shops and Bookshops.
I feel passionately that information on this broad based and specialist subject should be widely available in all of the above named entities, especially within the Education System, and I sincerely hope that my efforts in having created "The Essential Guide To A Career In The Music / Entertainment Industry" will be a step in the right direction to assist in the enhancement of the marvellous results already being achieved within our Education System.
