Herd in the City 2023

Following the success of our Hares About Town trail in 2021, Havens Hospices will be teaming up once again with Wild in Art in 2023, bringing public art to the City of Southend that will leave a lasting impression.

For over eight weeks between July and September, Southend, Shoeburyness and Leigh will be brought to life by a herd of beautifully decorated elephants.

Each unique, individually designed, elephant and baby elephant will be part of our spectacular outdoor art trail. The large elephants, each sponsored by a business, will then be auctioned off to raise vital funds for Havens Hospices’ specialist palliative care.

The art trail is completely free to follow and gives you the chance to become a tourist in your own city. You’ll be able to support Havens Hospices by purchasing a map, downloading our app or getting involved in our fundraising event and activities which will be announced once the trail begins in July 2023.
