Summer Reading Challenge at Leigh-on-sea Library

This year's Summer Reading Challenge 'Story Garden' is now in full bloom! Inspiring children to tap into a world of imagination through books, this free holiday reading activity is held at all Southend Libraries and runs until Saturday 30th August.

You've plenty of time to sign up and start reading! You'll receive a Sticker Booklet and earn a sticker for each book you read. After reading 3 books you will receive a bookmark, and after reading 6 books, you'll receive a medal, certificate, and entry into a prize draw for tickets from our sponsors: Caddies, Adventure Island, Southend Theatres (Pantomime) and Southend United Football Club! There's also an Early Years Challenge for little ones.

Volunteers will be on hand to chat to you about the books you have read, Monday – Friday, 10am - 1pm + 2pm - 3.30pm, on Saturdays 10am – 1pm, plus 2pm - 3.30pm at The Forum.
