Double Bill of Brilliant Local Bands at the Dixon: Last of the Lizardmen & Monumental

Southend's very own, home-grown reptilian rockers Last Of The Lizardmen, are an alt-rock four piece with a huge stage presence and even louder sound. Since forming in 2019, the Lizardmen have performed across the UK and released the high-pace debut LP Reptilian Oblivion.

Born from a clash of wildly different personalities, Monumental are four talented young lads from Essex who have come together to create an unpredictable and unforgettable sound. Drawing inspiration from their musical heroes such as The Libertines, Catfish and The Bottlemen and The Beatles, they’ve crafted a sound that is unmistakably their own… think roaring guitars, pounding rhythms and melodies that get stuck in your head.
