Bob Collum & Pete Davies play the Dixon Sessions
Bob Collum Band and Pete Davies take to the stage on Sunday 22 March with great original music.
For more than two decades and six fine albums, Oklahoma-born Essex-settled Bob Collum has cut a swathe through the UK Americana scene, bringing fistfuls of well-crafted songs and pin-sharp Tulsa-meets-Southend musicianship to venues up and down the country. Alt- country rock & roll with a dose of guilt, a dollop of sin and a drop of salvation is on the menu.
Pete Davies is a singer songwriter originally from Cheshire, now based in Leigh-On-Sea. His musical style is influenced by folk and country among others. His lyrics explore human connection with moments of humour mixed with wistfulness and hope.
The intimate setting of the Dixon Studio is perfect for audiences to appreciate the musicianship and talent of the Sessions acts. Carefully curated by Chris Robson to bring the absolute best local music to Southend audiences, the Dixon Sessions continue to offer a platform for new music and up and coming bands.
