100's of campaigner's take to the street to protect against Southend A & E plans

100's of campaigner's took to the street's to protect against plan's to downsize Southend Hospital's A & E Department.

The march, which started at Pier Hill, was organised by the Save Southend A & E Campaign Group and saw families, children, parents, grandparents and people with disablities showing their support. 

Under the success regime plans, it has been proposed that Basildon will become the main emergency hospital with Southend and Broomfield in Chelmsford being downgraded to take less serious emergencies.
