Metal welcomes thousands to Chalkwell Park for Village Green 10th edition

On Saturday 13 July Metal are delighted to welcome to Village Green UK soul artist Dionne Bromfield. Recognised with a prestigious MOBO nomination for her album Good for the Soul, Dionne is a powerful voice on the British soul scene.
Students at South Essex College have worked with artist Nik Ramage to create a moving sculpture, made of recycled bikes, which will be on display in the ForwardMotion area at the Village Green Festival.
As part of the 10th Village Green Festival, Essex Cultural Diversity Project (ECDP) will host the Global Village a world music and dance stage, showcasing the best of the local diverse talent along with national and international artists.

Village Green is delighted to announce the N-Act Theatre Stage at this year’s festival; The stage recreates the popular Chalkwell Beach Theatre of the 1950s.

I have a lot to thank Village Green for. If it wasn’t for this lively annual festival in Chalkwell Park, I may not have moved to Leigh-on-Sea at all.
