16 Year Old from Westcliff Jailed Over Child Abuse

A 16 year old from Westcliff has been jailed for four years and has been placed on the sex offenders register after abusing two young girls over an 18 month period.

The teenanger, who showed no remorse in court, began abusing his victims when he was just 13. The girls, aged 5 and 6 at the time, were subjected to what they believed was a "dare game", with the abuse only coming to light in August of last year when one of the girls, now 8, told her father.

When interviewed by police, the youngster, who cannot be named for legal reasons, claimed he didn't know what sex was. On seizing his computer, he had searched for various sickening scenarios which were clear he knew otherwise.

In total, the teenager was found guilty of four counts of rape, covering multiple occasions, two counts of sexual assault and one count of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
