Thomas the Tank Engine is coming to Essex this summer

Everyone's favourite blue steam train and The Fat Controller are travelling to an Essex heritage railway this summer holiday. Perfect for families, you will be able to meet and ride on Thomas the Tank Engine with The Fat Controller himself. He will visit Castle Hedingham in Braintree and Chappel in September and Wakes Colne Station in August.

As well as Thomas, visitors can expect to see Emily, Percy, Toby and Mavis too. Essex kids can also gain their Junior Engineer Certificate' plus will be treated to story telling and an Imagination Station with temporary tattoos, colouring, children's games and play trains. There will also be Thomas-themed crafts, games and DVDs. The train rides will run all day and The Fat Controller will be on hand to make sure everyone is comfortable.


Superhero Dress up Weekend at Adventure Isalnd

Join Adventure Island for a weekend of excitement and adventure! Dress up as your favourite superhero (or villain), for the chance to win an incredible prize! They will also have guest appearances from your favourite Star Wars heroes!

Activities include: Superhero Treasure Hunt, Best Dressed Superhero/Villain Competition, Themed entertainment and late night show & Face painting. This event is being held in support of the Southend Hospital Charity: For Wards Appeal.

Summer Spectacular at Marsh Farm 2018 - 21 Jul 2018 - 03 Sep 2018
