Bar staff praised for their heroic actions

Two heroic bar staff came to the resuce of a man following a fenzied attack in Southend late on Sunday evening.

The man, is his 30's, received multiple stab wounds is thought to have been attacked in College Road, but managed to stagger to the London Road near East Coast Social where employees of the bar, Georgia Curtis 18 and David Goates 21 ran out to his assistance.

Ms Curtis and Mr Goates applied towels to his wounds to stem the blood on his back and hand until the emergency services arrived.

The victim was taken to Royal London Hospital and his still in a serious but stable condition. 

Police are still hunting the attacker.
