November 12, 2019 by Leigh-on-sea.com

On Friday 13th December, St Michael’s Church in Benfleet is opening its doors for a night of live music to raise money for Southend’s new hospice.

The Christmas concert which has been organised by Havens Hospices’ Chaplain Revd. John Kennett will be raising money for the new Fair Havens Hospice which is being built opposite Priory Park.

Havens Hospices have less than £350,000 left to raise to complete the build and are hoping to be caring for adult’s from across Southend, Rochford and Castle Point living with complex or incurable conditions in Spring 2020.

Revd John Kennett and friends are inviting the local community to join them for a concert packed full of festive favourites and carols from 7:30pm at the church on Daws Heath Road, Benfleet.

Revd. John Kennett, Havens Hospices Chaplain said, “This is our third annual concert at St Michael’s Church for new Fair Havens, so I would like to thank them for welcoming us once again. We are now incredibly close to moving to our new home opposite Priory Park, but still need a little help from the local community to get there.

“So, I’ve organised this concert not only to put on an enjoyable evening of live music and celebrate Christmas with our wonderful supporters, but to also to help the charity reach their final amount needed for new Fair Havens Hospice; so that we can continue to provide specialist care and ultimately continue ‘Making every day count’ for all our patients across South East Essex and their families. We hope to see lots of you there!”

Tickets cost just £5 and all funds raised from the evening will go towards Havens Hospices final fundraising target for the new Fair Havens build. To order tickets please contact John Kennett by calling 07800 735908 or 01702 220350
