Christmas Panto for Leigh!!!! Auditions being held!

October 1, 2014 by Joanna Harrison

Leigh Town Council are delighted to announce that as part of their Christmas Season, which includes Leigh Lights, Small Business Saturday and Carols on Strand Wharf – Christmas Panto is coming to the Community Centre in Elm Road.

Cinderelleigh is to be a fun, community pantomime utilising the amazing talent we have in the area and is being written by local writer Samantha Lierens.
The show is being staged by Leigh producer Jo Farrugia’s company - Principal Girl Productions and is in conjunction with Leigh Town Council.

It will run over the 19th,20th and 21st December (last weekend before Christmas) with three matinees and three evening performances. Cinderelleigh is to be played by the amazingly talented local jazz singer, Elisa Adams and joining her will be a cast recognising all the wonderful local talent we are privileged to have in Leigh and its surrounds.

Proceeds from Cinderelleigh will go to three charities – HARP, YMCA and Southend Sunflower Trust.  Tickets will go on sale in due course and the aim is to make it affordable for as many as possible.

Principal Girl Productions are looking for both crew and cast members.  Anyone who wants to be involved is welcome for a chat and should contact producer Jo Farrugia at jo@principalgirl.com or through the Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Cinderelleigh. There will be a website launched in the near future.

There will be two open casting calls at the Community Centre on Saturday 27th September 11 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. and Saturday 4th October 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  More information can be found on the Cinderelleigh Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Cinderelleigh
