Families left terrified after altercation outside popular kid play centre

Families were left terrified and a man attacked after an altercation broke out between parents and passing youths at a popular children's play centre on Tuesday evening. 

Kids Kingdom in Garon's Park, Southend, have been extending praise to children who have received 100% attendance at school by putting on a free week of events. 

A man in his fifties was part of a group queing to get into the centre, when a group of youth's, with one thought to be carrying a 3ft machete, attacked the man. Fortunately, the man is thought to have received no injuries from the attack. 

Families barricaded themselves into the premises and the incident was reported to the police.
