Families too scared to return to fatal arson attack flats

Since a suspected arson took place in The Grampians Flats in Balmoral Road, Westcliff on the 7th May, taking the life of heavily pregnant Khabi Abrey, 30, just two or the five families, have returned to the building.

Although the flats are deemed habitable, some residents are quite understandably too scared to return due to the sad reality.

With reports of shootings, drug gang shoot outs and stabbings a public meeting with take place on June 1st at Balmoral Hall with representatives of Southend Council and South Essex Homes with a view to making the whole area more safe.

Lillo Troisi will stand trial for the murder of Khabi Abrey later this year.
