Landmark Homes

Landmark Homes

Whenever I tell anybody that I am an estate agent ,their first reaction is that of jealousy.

People love the idea of having a nose around fabulous properties and seeing how the other half live. I usually just smile and tell them that’s exactly what I do. I don’t have the heart to tell them about the grotty flats I have to go around or the hours I spend chasing solicitors or being shouted out because somebody wont leave a cooker in their house sale negotiations.

Every now and then though I do get the chance to look at some beautiful houses and very rarely I get to look at some of the more historical and landmark properties in Leigh. I have been lucky enough to have dealt with most of them over the years, but this week I have been given instructions to sell 30 to 34 Leigh Hill.

These 3 properties have been empty for as long as I can remember and have previously belonged to the JA Bathrooms showroom which has been derelict for many years. These properties date back to the late 1800’s and are in a prominent position that thousands of people have driven or walked passed and wished something would have been done to them.

Fortunately a sympathetic developer has taken a great deal of care at considerable cost and has brought these properties back to life. It would have been easy to tosh them over with a cheap refurbishment or god forbid, knock them down and build yet another block of flats.

What is there now are 3 superb town houses which offer extremely high specification interiors which have expertly retained and blended some original features with stunning modern fixtures and fittings.

To the front you can tell the attention to detail and quality that has been lavished on the houses, but once you are inside then you can really appreciate the location as the homes open up at the back and offer stunning views over the beach and the estuary.

The benefits of these properties are that you will be buying a brand new house with new windows, heating, electrics. Basically everything you can think of is new, roofs, plastering even down to bespoke skirting boards and door architraves. The kitchens are of extremely high quality and modern bathrooms and en suites really set these homes apart from the rest and there are even some unique points like one of the homes has a basement and another one has a stunning roof terrace which has got to have one of the best views I have ever seen in Leigh.

This is a chance to buy a piece of history in Leigh and seeing people living in these houses that have been empty for so many years will bring a great deal of joy to me and many others.
