Leigh Lights 2019
Friday 29th November
It's nearly that time of year again when the little town that we love begins it's official celebrations for the festive season with Leigh Lights 2019.
We here at leigh-on-sea.com have experienced a wonderful last 4 years, co-hosting a big event with our friends at Scott & Stapleton, but for this year, all the elves, snowmen and prince charmings will be off celebrating the night with their family and friends. HOWEVER, there is no rest for the Big Man himself and you will be able to catch him in the parade as he travels back to the North Pole.
This extremely popular event (and the start of festivities for many) hosted by Leigh Town Council raises a substantial amount of money for many charities and pre-parade fun can be found from 4pm at Leigh Community Centre.
You can catch the yuletide parade from Kings Road at 6.30pm, which will then travel along Leigh Road, Broadway and finishing in Broadway West around 7.30pm. There are various street performers, stalls and staging areas around the town to enjoy too. Many shops, bars and resturants will also be
A free parade programme will be availble soon by Leigh Town Council.
The council are always on the look out for new parade entries, entertainers, street performers, choirs, mobile food stalls, sponsors, volunteers and general festive fun, so if you would like to be involved in this year's event please contact us them at council@leighonseatowncouncil.gov.uk
Where did that year go? We hope to see you all there with a little Ho Ho Ho.
*** If you're a local business and would like to send us the details of what you will be doing for Leigh Lights 2019 please email joanna@leigh-on-sea.com ***
