Leigh-on-sea Town Council looking into alternative Christmas celebrations for 2020
Leigh-on-sea Town Council have decided to cancel the Leigh Lights 2020 event. The Community and Culture Committee resolved on Tuesday 7 th July that given the current covid-19 pandemic, it was not in the communities best interest to hold the event which usually attracts over 5,000 people to the town.
The town council instead will look into other possibilities to help compensate in some way for Leigh Lights and the Christmas street lights will still be on for the town to enjoy.
