Major police crack down on phones and driving

Police have majorly cracked down on people using their mobile phones whilst driving.

Just a few days ago, a man sitting in standstill traffic on the A127 was fined £200 and given six penalty points for texting.

The crack come down comes after a new legislation came into force last Wednesday which doubles the prevous penalty of such an offence and in some cases, can even see drivers lose their licence.

Anyone with information about people using mobile phones whilst at the wheel, can contact Essex Police on 101 or 99 9 if deemed an emergency.

Driving responsibly peeps!
