Manhunt launched after driver flees crash in Southend

Police have launched a manhunt after a driver fled the scene of an accident at approximately 7pm on September 24. 

Details of the incident have only just emerged after police have put out an appeal to anybody who may have information on it. 

The incident took place in Royal Artillery Way, Southend, between a blue Ford Fiesta and Silver BMW. The driver of the BMW lost control, crashing into the Fiesta leaving the victim reportedly 'screaming in pain'. 

The BMW driver is believed to have run away.

Anyone with information is asked to call Southend Police station on 101 and quoting refernee 1084 and 24/09.
