New pop-up café for Leigh on Sea

When life is busy, and you're tearing from here to there, sometimes it's good to take a load off.

There's a new pop-up coffee shop that encourages people to do just that, taking place in Old Leigh. Every Wednesday, from 10am until 12pm, the Fishermen's Chapel is turned into a pop-up cafe, thanks to new Leigh-on-Sea start-up Beep Beep Pop.

It's a very relaxed vibe; fresh coffee is brewed, filling the air with that unmistakeable cafe scent, and it's good too, sourced from The Coffee Officina, artisan coffee roasters based in Essex. There are home made cakes on offer - from muffins and tortes to Beep Beep's "hero product" flapjacks, which often sell out and are sometimes even requested by the batch!

There's always cool music playing, space to sit and relax, newspapers and magazines, plus toys and baby-changing facilities if parents bring their children along. And, it has that holy grail of Leigh cafes: space for buggies!

Freelancers are welcome to have meetings or bring their laptops, using the free wifi, and the pop-up also provides a community space for Old Leigh that is relaxed, and welcoming to all walks of life.

he pop-up runs every Wednesday morning at the Fishermen's Chapel, New Road, Leigh on Sea from 10am until 12pm. Beep Beep Pop would love to see you there! Tweet @beepbeeppopup or Instagram @beepbeeppop to find out more!
