Old Leigh-on-Sea Gears Up for a Weekend of Family Fun

Get ready for a weekend of family fun as the annual Leigh-on-Sea Regatta returns! Hosted by the 3rd Chalkwell Bay and 4th/6th Leigh Sea Scouts, this popular event transforms Old Leigh into a vibrant street festival.

The regatta promises a mix of traditional and unique entertainment, including classic sailing races, welly-hoying, tug-of-war, and a cockle-eating competition. Visitors can also enjoy a wide variety of community stalls, games, and activities for all ages.

A huge lineup of live music will fill the air all weekend long. The impressive roster includes acts like The Long Run, Oasiz, and The Broadway Band, along with a silent disco featuring DJ Dan M vs Indie Cult Club (this is a ticketed event).

Beyond the fun, the regatta is a crucial fundraiser for the local Sea Scout groups.
