Our 5 minutes with Paul Bennett

March 21, 2019 by Leigh-on-sea.com

1. Lets introduce you with your vital stats…. What’s your name and what local business do you own?
My name is Paul Bennet and I am the owner of Platinum PT studio

2.  Can you tell us a bit more about Platinum PT? Where can we find you and what do you do?
Platinum PT studio is located in the basement of Clements Arcade in the heart of Leigh Broadway. We are a results based gym that offers the very best in personal training, gym memberships and 12 week body transformation packages, if you are looking to get real results, improve your health and change your body and life… we are the people you need to talk to!

3. What have you found is key to running a successful business in leigh-on-sea?
We have a big focus on customer service and making everyone feel welcome and comfortable in the gym. Happy members mean they will tell their friends, word of mouth is so important in such a small community like Leigh, so we try our best to make the experience for clients and members as rewarding as possible.

4. What made you decide on a career within PT / a gym?
I have always had a passion for fitness and exercise from a young age but when I started lifting weights in my late teens I developed a real love for the gym. I could see how much confidence it gave me and how it could transform the way I looked and felt about myself and my health. I wanted to share my knowledge with others so they could also benefit and its snowballed from there really.

5. So, a little more about the little town that we all love… Where is your favourite place in leigh-on-sea? Are you more of a Broadway soul or an old town soul?
I spend most of my spare time in the Broadway I love the hustle and bustle and friendly vibe but if I want to escape all that and get some quiet time the library gardens or a walk along old Leigh is a great place to gain some clarity and chill out.

6. If you could live anywhere else in the world, where would it be and why?
I have made many trips to Thailand in my life and I do feel a connection to the country and the people are super friendly and of course the weather is always a plus, so I could see myself being quite happily living in a villa on the beach in Koh Samui. (as long as there was a gym close by of course!)

7. Can you tell us your favourite memory you hold in Leigh-on-sea?

I was lucky enough to grow up in Leigh and I have very fond memories of playing football and tennis at Bonchurch Park with my friends when I was a teenager, I could spend hours there!

8. Do you have a favourite place in leigh-on-sea and if so, where, what is it?
Barlow and fields is one of my favourite places to go in leigh, the staff and great and the coffee is even better!

9. When did you last do a forward roll?
Last summer while at John Burrows Park in Hadleigh, myself, my wife and our son Harvey were messing around and I am pretty sure I cracked one out then!

10. Finally, there any immediate exciting plans in the pipeline for Platinum PT that you would like to share with our leigh-on-sea.com readers?
Yes! In April we will be launching our brand new 12 week body transformation challenge which I am really excited about so if any of your readers fancy the challenge and want to get in the best shape and health of their lives then please get in touch, I would love to work with you!
