Paedophile jailed for 16 years
A paedophile who faced a number of charges for raping children has been jailed for 16 years.
Daniel Dawson, of Picasso Way, Shoebury, was unanimously convicted of 12 of the 14 counts he appeared in court for which included two of indecent assault, four of assaulting a child under 13 by penetration and six of raping a child under 13.
Dawson's victims have been praised by the NSPCC for their bravery and encourage any suvivors of abuse to contact their helpline for advice on 0808 800 5000.
