After 100 years of trading, Haven's Department Store based in Hamlet Court Road, Westcliff, will close it's doors for good this Friday.

The family run business consisting of three brothers Nigel, Paul and Graham, originally opened it's doors in 1901 and moved to it's current site, which was built by their Grandfather in 1920.

The beautiful building, will now be home to Age Concern, who will transform the premises into a community centre for the over 50's.

Havens will continue to operate an online business from the top floor, sending out goods throughout the UK and offering a click and collect service to local people.
