A growing number of resident's have taken to social media over the last few weeks to express their concern over the increasing amount of youths hanging around in Leigh-on-sea.

One resident reported a group of up to 20 youngsters, one riding around on a moped, drinking, smoking and generally being disruptive in Leigh Library Gardens just a few nights ago as another commented about feeling intimidated by the group.

And it's not just about Leigh Broadway and Leigh Library Gardens where social media discussions have taken place, Bell Wharf and both Leigh and Chalkwell Beach have also been raised as area's of concern where one resident confronted a group about what was to be described as 'extreme litter dropping' only to be shouted at and rudely told 'where to go'.

Some resident's defended the youth's saying it was no different to when they were younger and that they were just out having fun.
