Rough Sleepers Camping in Southend Cemetery
Following Southend Council’s eviction notice on rough sleepers camping on the hills off Cliff Gardens, homeless people seem to have set up camp in North Road Cemetery, Southend.
The cemetery, no longer open for burials, has been the subject of antisocial behaviour previously, with railings since installed.
At present it is unclear how many people are sleeping rough in the cemetery on a regular basis, or what actions are to be taken regarding such.
