Scouting For Girls Major Headline Tour Revealed Celebrating 10th Anniversary of Debut Album
2017 officially marks a decade since the release of Scouting For Girls’ unstoppable million-selling self-titled debut album and to celebrate the 10th anniversary, SFG returns with the release of an extended, deluxe version on May 19th.
The deluxe anniversary reissue of the eponymous debut album will boast 14 additional tracks including live tracks and unreleased demos, available on 2CD, stream and download, plus the original album on vinyl for the very first time and a limited edition cassette available through their official store, all of course including their classic hits ‘It’s Not About You’, ‘She’s So Lovely’, ‘Elvis Ain’t Dead’, ‘Heartbeat’ and ‘I Wish I Was James Bond’.
SFG comments: “Here we are ten years on, and thanks to this album, our friendship and our fans we’re still getting away with it, still without proper jobs. I have nothing but affection for these eleven songs and it’s been lovely to revisit them for this special anniversary edition.”
Scouting For Girls burst onto the scene and signed to Epic on 14th February 2007. A decision which saw them enjoy a triple platinum Number 1 debut album, multiple Top Ten singles and earned them a dedicated set of fans that still follow them avidly a decade later. The occasion was marked earlier this year by a very special intimate Valentine’s Day gig at London’s Bush Hall to which over 20,000 loyal fans applied via a ballot to nab one of the 300 tickets available.
As well as playing some of the UK’s biggest festivals this summer, Scouting For Girls who are Roy Stride, Greg Churchouse and Pete Ellard will also be hitting the road later this year on a massive nationwide headline tour. Tickets go onsale Friday 28th April at 9am via www.gigsandtours.com and www.ticketmaster.co.uk.
Throughout Scouting For Girls’ immensely successful career they’ve sold over 1.5 million albums, two million singles, had four Brit Award nominations, an Ivor Novello nomination, had four top ten singles, sold-out Wembley Arena and sold-out The Royal Albert Hall and had a series of hit singles all of which were inescapable radio smashes. Ten years later, Scouting For Girls know that 2017 will be a special one.
Catch SFG on tour in 2017 plus support Ben McKelvey at Southend Cliffs Pavilion on Thursday 23rd November.
