Southend's popular attraction Sea Life Adventure have opened an exhibition for their latest addition, Macaque Monkeys.

The crab-eating macaques were resecued from Italy, where they were kept in confined conditions and used for breeding and medical testing.

Their new purpose-built enclosure at the centre which cost approximately £500,000 has been built to the highest health, safety and animal welfare requirements ensuring that they live their lives from here-on in a spacious, well kept and happy envinronment.

The Stockvale Group, who also own Adventure Island, are delighted at the arrival of the monkeys and encourage everyone to visit their exhibit which is now open.
