Southend Food & Drink Festival Set to Return this Autumn
Following the success of its inaugural event, the Southend Food and Drink Festival is set to return in 2026, celebrating the fantastic hospitality businesses that help make the city centre a popular destination.
The 2025 festival showcased the diversity and quality of Southend's food and drink scene, with 18 venues taking part and 26 tempting promotions available throughout the event. From cafes and restaurants to bars and eateries, there was something to satisfy every craving. Following positive feedback, organisers are now looking ahead to grow the festival in 2026.
Suzanne Gloyne, Southend City BID Manager, said:
“We loved showcasing our food and drink venues during the festival’s first year and are excited to build on that for 2026. We’re aiming to involve more venues, additional offers, and a wider range of prizes.
Southend is fortunate to have such a diverse mix of cuisines, dining experiences, and places to enjoy a drink, and this festival is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate that.” Participating businesses will offer exclusive deals, curated menus, or special offers across the ten-day event, which runs from Friday 23rd October – Sunday 1st November. This will be exciting opportunities for visitors to explore new venues, revisit old favourites, and enjoy the best of Southend’s hospitality scene.
Participants will also have the opportunity to be entered into a draw, which saw over £700 in prizes given out in 2025 including restaurant vouchers, gift boxes, activities, and more. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite, catching up with friends over dinner, or enjoying a refreshing cocktail, the Southend Food and Drink Festival is the perfect time to discover your new favourite spot.
Southend City BID is encouraging all BID members, whether they took part in 2025 or considering joining for the first time, to get involved in the 2026 festival. Businesses interested can register their interest and find out more by contacting the Southend City BID team at Hello@SouthendBID.com.
