Southend Jazz Festival raises record sum for their Chosen Charity!

November 13, 2025

The 2025 Southend Jazz Festival has once again demonstrated the power of music and community spirit, raising an impressive £1,381.91 for this year’s chosen charity — the Ronnie Scott’s Charitable Foundation (RSCF).

The RSCF is dedicated to making music education accessible to every child and young person, regardless of background. The charity raises and distributes funds, donates musical instruments, and partners with organisations across the UK and beyond to create and support youth music education programmes. Through these efforts, thousands of schoolchildren have already benefited — and that number continues to grow.

Southend Jazz Festival is proud to count itself among those beneficiaries. The RSCF has generously pledged to fund all of the festival’s educational activities for the years 2025, 2026, and 2027, helping to nurture the next generation of jazz musicians and enthusiasts.

Festival organisers expressed their gratitude to all who contributed during the event’s door collections. “We are absolutely thrilled with the total,” a spokesperson said. “It’s heartwarming to see our audiences support such a meaningful cause. Every donation will help bring the joy of music to more young people.”

The Southend Jazz Festival team extends a huge thank you to everyone who gave so generously — proof that the spirit of jazz is alive, well, and making a difference.
