Southend seafront cafe set to re-open for summer pop-up events

May 1, 2019 by Leigh-on-sea.com

A council-run cafe situated in a prime location on Southend seafront is set to re-open this summer with a number of pop-up events.

Cafe Twenty One, situated opposite Southend Pier, was originally opened by Southend Council and the Focal Point Gallery in 2017 as a cultural centre with a view to showcasing work from local artists. Unfortunately the venue closed last year after the operator of the cafe pulled out, but Southend Borough Council are excited and confident in the new plans.

The venue has already been booked for a number of different events throughout the summer including arts, music gigs, poetry and spoken word at which time, both the cafe and bar will be open.
