Southend continues to struggle whilst Basildon Hospital not far off hitting national target

Latest statistics have revealed that Basildon Hospital are not far off hitting the national target for paitents who spend four hours or less in A & E whilst Southend continues to struggle. 

Released by NHS England, the A & E attendances and emergency admissions saw Basildon treat a total of 11,284 paitents during November, with 93 per cent of them being dealt with, admitted, transferred or discharged.

Southend Hospital saw a slight improvement on it's waiting times for November. Seventy seven per cent of the 8,083 paitents that visited were seen within the recommended time at 0.3 per cent improvement on the previous month. 

The national target has been set at 95% for paitents to spend four hours or less within A & E. 

Staff have been praised for their hard work, efficiency and providing a high level of care and the NHS continues to work towards hitting targets.
