Team work makes the dream work!

Since we have been in business I always felt that having the right team of people around me would benefit our clients, and having worked within many firms where although this is something that is portrayed, it is an awful long way from the truth.

What we have at Affinity I am extremely grateful for and which is why when I took the opportunity to join us onto the Trustpilot scheme I knew that we would be doing our level best for all of our clients and this platform would give me the best handle on deciding whether or not we are being successful in our mission – again as I sit here now with 100 reviews in the last six weeks, with a 5 star Trustpilot score, I am extremely proud of every one of our team….. it’s because we care, each and every one of us, we are a young team (well Youngish!!!!!) , but driven by a need and desire to work as hard as possible to achieve our customers goals – cliché, but honestly what wakes us up in the morning!!! This was summed up brilliantly by our most recent employee who said to me in his second week “I didn’t know work could be like this, I’ve never gone to bed on a Sunday looking forward to the next morning!” (perhaps trying to impress but it’s not the first time I’d heard it so I took it as gospel)

We spend a lot of time together as a team both inside and outside of work, you can often find us trying to get fitter by running, playing football, in the gym together, golfing, tennis as well as trying to get ‘unfit’ together in a local eatery and even occasionally in the pub…. During our last team meeting and following on from one of my longest clients incredibly sad news, we decided that we were going to try and put our sporting ventures to some good use, charity was the order of the day, and because I was so incredibly moved by my clients awful news I knew there would be uptake with this team…. I didn’t have to ask twice – complete and utter support from every member of staff!

So what have we done so far; two staff members Dean (Mortgages) and Mark (protection) have signed up to do a 50 mile run (YES 50 MILES!!!!!),  we have signed up to the Mortgage Sleep out to raise funds and awareness for our local homeless charities, and at the weekend we completed the Wolf Run in aid of the Chailey Heritage Foundation.

Again, so incredibly proud to be working with a group of people who take these sort of challenges on and keep their minds and bodies active, and put them on the line to make a difference.

Carrying this into the working environment hopefully it shows clearly the sort of people who work on our clients behalf’s – work tirelessly to make sure that in all we do our advice is exactly the right advice for our clients, and stand next to them at every stage of their transaction with us.
