Temporary road closures are due to begin on Saturday 15 June near to The Bell junction to allow for traffic surveys to be completed.

Access to Denton Approach to and from the east-bound A127 will be closed and the right-hand turn at the traffic lights on The Bell junction from the west-bound A127 into Rochford Road, will also be closed.

The traffic surveys are part of the preparation work to support The Bell junction improvement scheme. The closures will stay in place from Saturday 15 June for two weeks.

Local residents, businesses and nearby schools have all been informed and temporary road signs will be in place.

The A127 will remain open in both directions.

Cllr Ron Woodley, cabinet member for transport, capital and inward investment, said: “The traffic survey is an essential part of understanding how motorists use the junction and the number of vehicles passing through. Whilst we apologise for any inconvenience caused, the closures are important to get accurate results for the survey and for the development of the future plans for the junction.”
