Up, up and away!

Up, Up & Away

This week is going to be a teary affair here at Scott & Stapleton. Unfortunately we are having to say goodbye to Chloe. She has handed in her notice to pursue a new adventure doing something completely different.

Chloe came too us here on an apprenticeship (something I encourage ALL local business' to do) and is now joining British Airways to become a cabin crew member. I am sure she will really enjoy dealing with people's sick bags, screaming children, stag parties and serving tea! Maybe that is not the real appeal, I expect it is more likely the prospect of world travel to expand her horizons and explore different countries & cultures.

Chloe has been a fantastic member of staff and will be sorely missed (she's even touched my heart.. maybe im just getting soft in my old age). She joined us approximately a year ago as a fresh faced 18 year old as our new office junior and it was soon apparent that she would soon become a true asset and a valued member of our team. It is easy to tar all of the so called ‘youth of today’ with the same brush as lazy, monosyllabic oafs with no communication skills away from a computer screen or mobile phone but Chloe has restored my faith in the modern youth;

Confident, conscientious and willing to learn she has been a breath of fresh air to us all. Chloe has been willing and extremely able to adapt to all parts of our business being involved in the general office administration as well as lettings, sales, property management and accounts and has become a master of them all. She is always keen to join any of our nights out and is one of the first to start drinking & dancing and has the annoying benefit of youth when it comes to hangovers or lack of them!

This is making me feel a bit queasy being so nice to her, I know she wont feel comfortable with me being so gushing so I will have to bring her back to reality. Her tea making skills need particular attention from British Airways, she does not make them often enough and there is not enough biscuits. There that feels more like it.

In all seriousness we all wish Chloe well and she should be safe in the knowledge that if she ever gets bored of stop over in New York, Sydney or Hong Kong she can always come back to Leigh on Sea! Yeah right!
