Village Green 2019

June 3, 2019 by Joanna

Metal is delighted to have teamed up with The St Christopher School Academy Trust to produce some very special Village Green button badges.

The badges have been designed and produced by the ‘Beanie Hut’ mini enterprise team from The St Christopher School. The enterprise team made them as part of their weekly enterprise lessons aimed at developing the children’s entrepreneurial and work place skills. The ‘Beanie Hut’ team is made up of eleven Years 9 and 10 pupils.

The badges will be on sale at Village Green on 13th July and available to order from the Village Green website with all proceeds going to The St Christopher School.

The St Christopher School Academy Trust is a Special Educational Needs Specialist School for pupils aged 3-16 with a range of learning needs, including communication and interaction difficulties, cognition and learning difficulties, autism, ADHD and some with social emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Sean McLoughlin, Artistic Director of Village Green said ‘We absolutely love the badges The St Christopher School students have designed for Village Green. I’m sure festival goers will too. It has been a pleasure to involve the school in this way.’

Tickets for Village Green are on sale now. As in previous years, 500 free tickets are available to holders of Southend Council’s Advantage card C. These can be picked up from the Southend Borough Council reception – just have your Advantage Card ready to show.
