Waterloo Villas

Waterloo Villas

Last weekend saw the long awaited release of the town houses at Waterloo Villas on Leigh Hill.

I think that everybody locally has been keeping an eye on the development and shown a keen interest in how they have been finished and the accommodation on offer.

I was showing potential purchasers around at the weekend and people were stopping outside to take photos through the windows!

I don’t think we could have timed it much better because we seem to have had the first flush of Summer this week and standing on the balconies at the back over looking the beach and estuary it just makes you want to crack open a bottle of Pimms.

The overriding feeling throughout the properties is of the quality. An extremely high level of attention to detail has been applied and it really shows.

The front of the properties are the original facades from the late 1800’s with cleaned up brickwork or new render and even some copper finishes. There is a hint of the contemporary interior with bespoke hardwood sash windows and front doors which have an exquisite spray painted finish.

Inside the mix of the Victorian and contemporary is extremely sympathetic with panelled doors with brass furniture, high skirting boards and ornate tiling together with underfloor heating, ground floor cloakrooms, modern kitchens with appliances and aluminium windows to the rear.

The backs of the properties are fabulous with full height windows offering fantastic views of Leigh beach and the estuary. It is quite unique to have a view in Leigh that is right on top of the water such as these and it is lovely sitting on the balconies listening to the water and hearing people enjoying themselves on the beach.

All of the properties are 3 storeys with double bedrooms on the first floor plus large, luxury family bathrooms and opulent en suites. On the first floor are also large decked patios which would be perfect for sundowners or just reading a paper on a Sunday morning. The top floors have another double bedroom and en suite shower room and even the shower has a lovely view.

The boring stuff is taken care of as well with off street parking, bin storage and bike locks, but you will be taken by the views and the quality. This will definitely be a heart purchase rather than a head, I would challenge anybody not to fall in love.

So if you are looking for something a little bit different but have an eye for quality and have obviously got a spare £795,000 knocking around let me know and I will show you around. To be honest I don’t need much of an excuse to go down there in this weather!
