Works commence resulting in parts of A13 closure

Essential works have commenced on the A13 and A130 Sadlers farm roundabout, with scheduled closures both on the east and westbound road. 

The work is scheduled to be completed over three phases, with two weekend closures already put in place. The potential third has been allocated for, in case of any potential delays due to weather conditions. 

The latest work is part of a 12 month plan being completed by Balfour Beatty whcih includes remedial works to the block retaining wall and bridges, replacement of two bridges, the upgrade of the existing drainage system and embankment re-profiling and carriageway strengthening on the A13 near Pitsea.
