C2C make timetable changes starting Sunday 14th December 2025
South Essex train operator, c2c Railway is making several alterations to its weekday timetable in December, including reinstating 12-car trains at Basildon and adding extra stops at one of its busiest stations, Barking, to boost peak-time capacity. This means 30 additional services per week will call at Basildon, with up to 6,500 potential additional seats weekly.
In the past year, approximately 100 metres of platform at Basildon station have been replaced and it has been slightly widened to increase customer space. The new section includes upgraded foundations and embankment improvements, designed to last 60 years.
Rob Mullen, c2c Managing Director, said: ‘Our December timetable will reintroduce 12-carriage trains at Basildon, made possible by the successful progression of works at the station. This is fantastic news for Basildon customers and the local community, as it means greater capacity and more frequent services.
