Choice Raises Over £37,000 for Havens Hospices Through Carrier Bag Sales
Fashion and home outlet Choice has donated £37,724 to Havens Hospices after raising funds in-store through carrier bag charges.
The funds, generated purely from sales of bags across its 23 stores, were raised over a 12-month period.
The local company has supported Havens Hospices for many years with numerous initiatives and campaigns. The hospice charity relies on donations from the community to fund its specialist care and support to adults, babies, children and young people living with incurable conditions, and their families. This care is provided completely free of charge thanks to donations from businesses like Choice.
Mark and Neil Donovan, Managing Directors at Choice said: "We're proud to support Havens Hospices and their incredible work. This carrier bag donation is a fantastic way we can help both Fair Havens and Little Havens hospices."
Vanessa Harvey, Corporate Fundraising Manager at Havens Hospices said: "We're incredibly grateful to Choice for their continued support and this generous donation of over £37,000. Local businesses like Choice make such a difference to the families we support across Essex, helping us provide vital specialist care completely free of charge.
"This amazing donation will help us continue to give local families more time together, more opportunities to create precious memories, and more control over their care. On behalf of everyone at Havens Hospices, thank you to Choice and their customers for making this possible."
