Clap for our Carers: the nationwide event to say thanks to NHS staff

March 25, 2020 by Emily Mertens

A campaign, Clap for our Carers, is encouraging the nation to show thanks to NHS staff this Thursday 26th March with a huge round of applause.

And with everyone's diaries pretty much empty for the next few weeks, we're sure people in the UK are likely to be free to show a bit of gratitude.

Taking place at 8pm tomorrow (Thursday 26th), the initiative calls all members of the UK to thank all doctors, nurses, carers, GPs, pharmacists and other NHS staff working hard to help those affected by the coronavirus.

Whether members of the public can clap from their gardens, front doors, and balconies, it is all encouraged to show support.

The campaign has so far had a range of positive responses, including a range of celebrities. From David and Victoria Beckham, to Meghan and Harry, the campaign has had widespread support and has been shared widely on social media.

Share this post to bring the nation together with a huge round of applause tomorrow!
