Essex gymnast makes history by scooping Olympic Bronze

Essex's very own Mat Whitlock has made history by winning the first all-round Olympics gymanstics medal in a 108 years!

The Basildon born 23 year old scooped a Bronze in Rio last night, having originally competed in the London 2012 Olympics. Whilock was delighted yet humble about his achievement and was quick to turn to the attention to other GB's medal's won that day.
