Fatal hit and run driver gets 5 years

February 13, 2018 by Joanna

A speeding driver who killled a woman on the 7th January has been setenced to 5 years in prison.

Jack Blohm was doing between 51 and 58mph when he hit victim Phillippa Nunn as she crossed the A13 in Hadleigh. Blohm failed to stop at the incident, continuing in his car and then fleeing on foot when it broke down.

He contacted police eventually 3 hours after the accident.

The court heard that had Blohm been driving within the 30pmh limit, then the collision would never have happened.

He has been jailed for five years and disqualified from driving for six-and-a-half years.
