Feel Good Festival returns!
A free festival to help everyone in Southend-on-Sea boost their mood and feel good, is back.
The Feel Good Festival is being held on Saturday 29 July at Garon’s Park, from 10am to 4pm and the free event will include, popcorn making, live demos, competitions, arts and crafts, bouncy castles and more.
Bringing together all sorts of local community organisations that can give general or specific support on anything and everything relating to healthy eating, exercise, mental health, personal safety and more.
Bring a picnic or enjoy food from one of the numerous food stalls as the Feel Good Zones across the event make the day a fun-packed one.
Cllr James Moyies, cabinet member for public health, said: “There are lots of different ways we can feel good, and this completely free festival is a great way to get the community together to learn more.
“There are a number of organisations and events on offer in Southend that can help you feel happy, healthier and good about yourself. I hope people feel inspired to take advantage of this event and the ways in which everyone can feel better about themselves and healthier overall.”
Joanna Freeman, service manager for Everyone Health, Southend-on-Sea who are running the event, said: “This is the third year running of the Feel Good Festival and each year is becoming more successful.
“This year we are back bigger and better. We have almost doubled our stall holders this year including community provides, charities, and not forgetting some fantastic food vendors. We have some amazing activities lined up including competitions, interactive performances, bouncy castles and much more.
“This festival is focussed on the health and wellbeing of our Southend community so there is lots on offer for all ages. We are excited to bring back the Feel-Good feeling to Southend and can’t wait to see you all there!”
