Glow for Havens - Light Up the Night for Local Hospice Care

A local hospice charity is inviting the community to ‘glow the distance’ for a brand-new fundraising event.
Join Havens Hospices for its ‘Glow for Havens’ fundraiser, taking place on Saturday 20th September from 4.45pm, starting the walking routes at dusk and finishing at Little Havens in Daws Heath Road, Thundersley.
This family-friendly event invites participants to take on either a 5K or 10K walk, all while dressed in their brightest neon and glow-in-the-dark gear to light up the night and make an evening to remember. Whether people are walking in memory of a loved one or just looking for a fun evening out with friends or family, all in support of a local cause, their steps will help fund vital care for local children and adults.
But the fun doesn’t stop after the finish line; participants can look forward to a silent disco option after their walk to dance the night away, as well as glow-in-the-dark and glitter face painting for an additional donation. There will also be delicious food and drink stalls.
Abbey Parsons, Fundraising Officer at Havens Hospices says: “Glow for Havens is a night to come together, get glowing and raise vital funds for a local cause. Every step you take supports local people of all ages living with complex or incurable conditions, helping them to make the most of every day.
“This is the charity’s first ever Glow Walk event, and we can’t wait to welcome supporters for a night of fundraising for a charity that means so much to the local community. So, put on your brightest outfits, gather family and friends, and light up the night with us through the scenic woodlands around Little Havens and towards Hadleigh Castle. Let’s ‘glow the distance’ and make a difference.”
Adult tickets cost £18, Child (16 and under) cost £12 and Under 5s go free. There is an option to save with a Family Ticket, and a ticket upgrade option for the Silent Disco at £3 per person.
