Question: I divorced a few years ago, but my ex and I did not get advice on our financial split.  I have heard that this means it made not be final and that he could come back to me. I am really worried about this as I am in a really good financial position now and I don’t want to have to give him any! Is it true?

Answer: In theory yes, he could come back and re-open the case.  You should get advice, and if any of your friends are doing their own divorce I would suggest that you warn them that the financial side of a divorce can be really technical and it is really advisable to get good legal advice early on to make sure that there are no repercussions.
