Leigh Community Centre Needs You . . .

Do you have what it takes? Leigh-on-Sea Town Council is looking for volunteers from the local community to join an advisory board for the Leigh Community Centre. The Town Council took over the management of Leigh Community Centre in August this year and is actively looking for 9 volunteers from each of the areas of expertise listed below. These volunteers will have the skills, time and expertise to play a pivotal role as members of the Community Centre Advisory Board which will advise and make recommendations to the Town Council on all aspects of the running of this golden asset in the heart of our town. The particular areas of expertise needed are in the fields of : Music, drama and art Health and fitness Business and professions Older people Education Volunteering Young People People with disabilities Churches The appointed members will be joined by two Leigh-on-Sea Town Councillors and the Board will meet on a regular basis and work closely with the Community Centre Manager, Vanda Moyse.
